Fujifilm X-Pro 1 Gets Focus Peaking

Faster, more accurate AF announced, along with helpful features for manual focus photography added to Fujifilm's flagship digital camera.



In an announcement that reflects its long-term support for its flagship digital camera, Fujifilm today released Firmware Update Version 3.00 for the Fujifilm X-Pro 1, featuring improvements in autofocus speed and accuracy for most existing XF lenses and the eagerly anticipated "Focus Peak Highlight" function.

Focus Peak Highlight, also known as Focus Peaking, aids manual focus by emphasizing the outline of the in-focus subject in igh contrast. This feature has been added in response to user feedback and brings the Fujifilm X-Pro 1 in line with the Fujifilm X100s and X20, both of which have this feature.

Finally, you can now activate image magnification during manual focusing by pressing the command dial, and you can control magnification from 3x to 10x.
