Home Studio Essentials Part 3

Join Gavin Hoey for the third installment of his Home Essentials series.

Adorama TV Presents Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey. Taking great portraits in a home studio has its challenges, but here Gavin makes shows you how it's not as challenging as you think.

If you only buy only one light modifier make it a softbox. Working in a small studio space makes controlling light and shadows that bit harder but as Gavin shows in this video, a softbox gives your light direction whilst remaining soft.

With just one light Gavin sets up a retro studio shoot and then takes the RAW file into Photoshop CC where he makes a few simple tweaks to create a gorgeous vintage styled portrait.
