This week, we at Adorama are tooting our own horn. Over the years we've created many, clever, useful or just plain fun gadgets that fill particular photographic needs and can enhance your photographic experience. Some of these accessories are designed for hobbyists, while others are meant to meet the needs of pro shooters. This week we're shining the spotlight on several stand-out gadgets made exclusively for Adorama's customers.

Pity the typical photojournalist today. Not only must he or she schlep heavy pro cameras and lenses, but now you have to add a laptop computer to the mix so he can edit and upload shots in time to make deadlines. Padding, durability, comfort and convenience are essential when carrying this heavy load. A chiropractor might help, too.

Fortunately, there's the Joe Farace Reporter Backpack II. Designed by pro shooter and long-time Adorama Learning Center and 100 in 100 contributor Joe Farace, the Joe Farace Reporter Backpack II has been redesigned and expanded to accommodate a 17-inch notebook computer and pro-level DSLR with a long zoom lens as well as compartments for accessories. The well-padded backpack is meant for photojournalists who are always on the go but need all of their gear with them.

If you are carrying a lighter load, I recommend the Adorama Slinger, a line of over-the-shoulder camera bags. It can hold a DSLR and a couple of lenses, a few filters and memory cards. Mesh pockets on the sides can hold a beverage bottle and a few nutrition bars (this has come in handy for me many times!) and you can stick a sandwich in the front pocket for a day out shooting.

I also like this bag because it's part of an expandable system. You can add capacity with one or more accessory cases. These accessories can be attached to the Slinger either vertically or horizontally, unlike some competing bag systems which only allow either vertical or horizontal attachment. Accessories for the Slinger include a series of filter wallets, small, medium and large lens cases, as well as a cell phone pouch.
