John Harrington's blog is a must-read resource for working and aspiring professional photographers. And the second edition of his book, Best Business Practices for Photographers (© 2009 $34.99 Course Technology Cengage Learning) should be on the bookshelf of every working photographer.

In this episode of the TechTock Podcast, John talks with us about what it is like to be "inside the bubble" to make photographs of the president, common mistakes photographers make in negotiating with clients and much more.

3 things John Harrington always keeps in his camera bag are spare memory cards, spare batteries, and business cards.

2 photographers he suggests we check out are Sam Abell and Matt Mendelsohn.

John doesn't have one dream shoot. He feels he is living the dream.

In this podcast, John and I discuss this great Youtube video about the applying the absurdity of some vendor-client relationships and negotiations in different situations like restaurants and video stores. If you haven't seen this yet, it's well worth a watch!
