It's decision time

When you're almost ready to buy, read our guides first

By Mason Resnick - March 11, 2009

Read to buy? Not so fast.

You want to make sure that whatever it is you're interested in, that it's the right fit for your photographic needs. If you've already done your research and know what you need, go a head and buy but if you have any doubt, a little knowledge and familiarity with the product can go a long way.

Use this section as a resource to learn about different product categories and how they work--tripods, filters, lenses, compact digital cameras, camera bags, etc. Our Introduction guides explain how a variety of cameras, lenses and accessories work.

If you know all about the category but can't quite decide which particular product is best, check out our Best...Right Now articles or specific product Buying Guides.
