Being in the press has its perks. One of them is getting up close and personal with the latest products and the people who want us to write about them. In the process, we tend to learn something new that we might have overlooked in the press release.

Leica did announce a hardware (yes hardware) upgrade program so the M8 will, they say, never become obsolete (as long as you pay $1200 Euros).
