Canon rebates start next week
Canon's regularly-scheduled spring rebate program got off to a late start this year in the U.S., but they appear to be substantial enough to take some of the sting out of the camera-maker giant's recent across-the-board price hikes. The rebate program--instant this time around--will be effective May 18-July 19. Since they're instant, there will be no forms or coupons to clip.
Rebates, which are for DSLRs and accessories, range from $300 for an EOS 5D and $200 for an EOS 40D to $15-125 for Canon lenses and $15-30 for flash units. Currently Canon offers a $350 rebate for the EOS-5D and 40D DSLRs when purchased with a PIXMA Pro9500 printer. These two-product rebates will continue concurrently with the single product rebates just announced, and will end on August 2.
The just announced rebates are:
EOS-5D $300
EOS-40D $200
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM $125
EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM $125
