LowePro introduces new camera bags...on Facebook


LowePro has chosen an unusual way to unveil its latest lineup of camera bags and backpacks: They posted images and descriptions of four new backpacks and two other bags on Facebook, the largest social networking site on the Internet. Three of the new bags are made primarily of recycled material. No press release as of yet, and pricing and availability were not announced. The six new products are:

Terraclime 100 (shown)

Provides durable, soft-sided protection for cameras and digital gear. All bags in the series are constructed of 100% post-consumer, recycled Cyclepet® exterior fabric, using the equivalent of 2˝ bottles in the smallest model to 22 bottles in the largest while conserving landfill, energy and crude and refined oil. The spacer mesh, providing a lean yet sturdy layer of protection, is 60% recycled PET. Hook closures and zippers are comprised of plastic regrind. And adding to the eco-friendly construction is a targeted cause: a portion of the proceeds will go directly to Polar Bears International.

Luxe

A premium-leather camera clutch designed expressly for the fashion-conscious consumer who wants stylish protection for her ultra-compact digital camera. The outer shell is full-grain leather, ribbed and top-stitched to add a touch of designer handbag detailing. Inside, soft microfiber protects a camera body, lens and LCD from scratches. The main compartment features two pockets to store extra memory cards and the interior flap offers two sleeves for credit cards, keys or identification.

Flipside 400

An extension to the Flipside family, designed with large capacity, comfort and protection from the elements. Features a unique back-entry compartment for easy access while keeping the bag off the ground – also provides security when on the move. Offers expanded capacity with room for a professional DSLR with attached zoom lens and 4-6 additional lenses. Adjustable dividers allow custom organization. Other features include an All Weather Cover™, a mesh-covered, padded waistbelt, back pad and contoured straps, a hideaway tripod holder, memory card pockets, front storage panels and pockets, attachment loops for SlipLock™ compatible products, and silent zipper pulls.

CompuPrimus AW

CompuPrimus AW accommodates one pro DSLR with attached lens and 3-5 additional lenses, tripod, accessories and personal gear, and features a removable notebook sleeve with integrated sunshade that fits most 15.4” notebooks and offers protection from glare. Dual-compartment design for flexible carrying options, organization pockets, an 8-point harness system with DryFlo™ lining, an All Weather Cover™, a Glide-Lock™ system, a Hideaway Tripod Mount™, a side-access panel, a safety whistle and SlipLock™ attachment loops and compression straps. Primus Minimus AW

Dual-compartment design for flexible carrying options, organization pockets, an 8-point harness system with DryFlo™ lining, an All Weather Cover™, a Glide-Lock™ system, a Hideaway Tripod Mount™, a side-access panel, a safety whistle and SlipLock™ attachment loops and compression straps. All bags in the series are constructed of 100% post-consumer, recycled Cyclepet® exterior fabric—using the equivalent of at least 22 PET bottles while conserving landfill, energy and crude and refined oil.

SlingShot 350 AW

The latest addition to the popular sling-style camera backpack series, the 350 AW has the same unique “carry mode” to “ready mode” design.
