The only new film camera at Photokina?
We didn't really expect to see any mass-market type new film cameras introduced at Photokina, so AgfaPhoto's Compact AF and FF cameras were a surprise, but ultimately a disappointment. One's a a simple autofocus camera that takes 35mm film, and the other's fixed-focus affair, and such commonplace amenities as metering, exposure control and auto wind were not mentioned in the brief press release:

Cologne, 23.09.2008. For photokina 2008 AgfaPhoto presents two new analogue compact cameras:
- AgfaPhoto Compact FF (Fixfocus)
- AgfaPhoto Compact AF (Autofocus)
This way, AgfaPhoto offers the photo trade two attractive analogue cameras, which continue to be successful in an established market segment.
Both cameras feature high-class design and are sold in practical gift sets and ready-to-shoot sets. In addition to the camera the sets contain a carrying strap, an AgfaPhoto Vista 400 Film for 24 shots and two LR03 (type AAA) batteries.
AgfaPhoto Compact AF and Compact FF cameras are available to photo dealers at favourable prices so that they can be sold on at attractive price points. The cameras can be perfectly combined with AgfaPhoto films.
