Phoenix: Low-cost Nikon dedicated flash
PHOTO PLUS EXPO: Phoenix today announced a $200 iTTL-dedicated flash for Nikon DSLRs. The Phoenix Nikon DZBIS-112iTTL (yes, that's a mouthful) is claimed to be completely fully dedicated to Nikon DSLRs such as the D200 and D80.
The Phoenix flash unit has a guide number of 112 (50mm at ISO 100) and a recycle time between 0.5 and 6 seconds, according to the company's announcement. It features i-TTL dedication and is compatible with Nikon's Matrix Balanced i-TTL. It is said to have front and rear curtain synchronization, slow synch, and red-eye reduction compatibility.
The DZBIS-112iTT is to retail for approximately $199.99, and will be available later this month.
