| · A universal lens, which covers a broad range of focal lengths and yet is very fast. The optical design of the lens consists of 2 systems with 11 lens elementsin 8 groups. The first optical system controls the focusing. The second optical system includes the aperture while both systems move as the focal length is adjusted. The lens design includes the use of two aspherical lens surfaces and three elements with anomalous partial dispersion producing excellent optical performance throughout the focal length range. The lens hood is built in and retractable. |
