I can?t state enough about this wonderful light.  Let?s start out with the fact that it features every single aspect you?d want from a fresnel type light. Focus, intensity, color temperature that?s displayed on the screen, Wi-Fi that connects to your phone and allows you to change intensity and color temperature straight from your phone.  But even with all this it still has tricks up it?s sleeve: yesterday I discovered different various intensity modes such as bone fire, candle light, etc.  so if you?re shooting a movie scene this thing has you covered for that natural look.  The batteries fit snug and are in good balance with the rest of the light.

At this price point it checked all the boxes I was looking for in a back light. I can’t get over the portability of it, it’s incredibly easy to throw in your carry on.

Perfect Back Light

This is one of the best choice of inexpensive fresnel that is small enough to take on locations like weddings. Runs on ac or inexpensive Sony NP batteries. 

The Q version has a number of improvements. 
They added dual battery slots, will work with generic batteries even at 100%. Previous version would only work with expensive batteries and even then could cut out if set too bright or if battery voltage dropped. Only downside it needs 2 batteries to work. 

They now offer an app to control the light with your phone. Its not intuitive to setup and use and sometimes there is a couple of minute delay when connecting to the light. Once working it’s very useful to be able to adjust the brightness or turn the light on and off when the light is out of reach on hight light stand. Note the pictured remote isn’t included. 

Geared washed added help hold its tilt. Previous version was prone to slipping down when modifiers were added.
