As this is a filter holder I had your standard expectations for it - It would hold the filters and connect to the lens body in some way.  

Although this product carries a somewhat premium price over the generic holders you can purchase the build quality of this is in a league of its own.  The function of the quick release alone makes this an excellent investment.  Simply pull back the locking clip, snap onto the ring, and your done.  If you want to log the rotation, you can simply tighten the thumb screw.  

Overall and excellent investment for holding 100mm filters on your camera.

Best Available Holder

I bought this filter adapter from Adorama and I must say, this is build very solid, can hold upto 3 filters and my recommendation is order this from Adorama. As far as my experience so far, I have never had issues with customer support so far, unlike when I ordered from Breakthrough Photography directly and they shipped a package worth more than ($) via USPS and I am still going through the pain. 

So , order from Adorama and I am sure you will not regret your decision.

Solid build quality - recommend this from Adorama

I use this on all three of my cameras: large, medium, and digital. I love the metal construction and the controls are very smooth. It is lightweight  but solidly built. The only issue I have is that I cannot use a cable release on the Hasselblad when this is on it. I’m working on figuring out a way around this, however. Everything I’ve bought from breakthrough has been well crafted, I plan on sticking with this company.

Impressive piece of equipment.

This is a nice enough filter holder - for a reasonable price.  The good:

1. The design is simple and functional.
2. I like the locking screw for setting rotation.

3. I like the simple attachment scheme.
4. The case is effective.

Potential for improvement:

1. I would prefer an easier system for changing the number of slots.  This system requires different screws to set it up for 3, 2 or 1 slot.  Less slots is better when working with wide lenses.
2. It only came with screws for 3 or 2 slot operation.
3. I would like an affordable adapter for the Voigtlander Heliar series lenses, so I can retire my 3D printed adapter.

Overall, an excellent product for a reasonable price.  Including the screws for single slot use would have earned it 5 stars.

Good deal

I purchased this filter holder because of price and that it is made out of aluminum and not plastic. Works well with different brands of filters and is very well made. I would recommend this filter holder.

Breakthrough Filter System

I got this after it being on backorder for about 9 months.! I can't say how well it works because I don't have any 100mm filters yet to try out with it. I can say the build quality feels very nice, and not that it really matters, but the packaging was very nice too. Comes with a nice padded pouch and for some reason, a small cloth. I was going to order filters afyer ordering the holder, and then month after month of it still being unavailable, I never ended up ordering the gels. I will now that the holder has arrived.
