HMI lighting types
HMI lighting and plasma lights come in a few distinct varieties depending on your budget. Kits, single units, fresnel lights, and par lights are the main types, and each has different features.
1. HMI kits and single HMI units
HMI kits and single HMI units are great choices for large studio productions requiring lots of light. Kits often include multiple fixtures and required accessories, like ballasts, power supplies, and stands. Single HMI units can expand existing HMI kits.
2. Fresnel lights
A fresnel light uses a tempered glass fresnel lens to better amplify the light output from the bulb. The fresnel lens features ridges that reflect and refract the light. 3. Par lights
