This has really helped me in with my photoshoot outdoors.  The material is sturdy enough to carry a softbox with strobes

This boom arm is very well made and works well. Although it's probably a little overpriced because of the name branding of Elinchrom.

Quality boom arm but pricey.

We needed a extension for our shooting xplorer 600 head extension. it works perfectly !!

Works perfectly

I bought this boom arm intending to use it with a Flashpoint Explorer Extendable FlashHead for the Xplor 600. 

The Boom seems to be pretty good quality but when I pulled it out of the box, the bottom part of the boom wouldn't extend.

Sent it back for a refund.

Would Not Fully Extend

I have an assistant use this boom to hold my battery powered strobe or speedlight  as an alternative to a clunky stand with weights. It greatly speeds up the work flow.

Versatile and compact.

Used it for the first time recently for a Bridal Session and it worked great. I attached my Flashpoint Xplor 600 on it. It held on tight and secure, which put me at ease, and my assistant was able to maneuver around easily, even with an umbrella attached to my light.  I would recommend this to anyone looking for a handheld boom.  

Great purchase for a handheld boom!

works as advertised, but you cant put the bottom on a dirty floor, needs a better bottom, like a cane has.
