Used Manfrotto MVM500A Head V

This monopod was disappointing, in that panning was not completely smooth--there would be unpredictable, minor rough spots. Not enough to ruin the video, but not acceptable to me at this price.
The panning motion occured between the metal ball and the feet portion of the monopod, NOT at the fluid damper. So the nice panning damper is not functioning at all.
Instructions and illustrations were poor.
