Q&A

Questions & Answers

Shopper : Will this or any of the other Stroboframe Shoe Mounts work with Sony Flashes?JAMES S : I have never owned a SDony photo product. That question should probably addressed to someone who has or to Stroboframe customer service.GREG W : I am not sure. I have Canon flashes.DENNIS W : The Stroboframe Bracket Shoe Mount in my opinion is a universal means of attaching an off camera flash to some type of mounting (light stand). I actually have two of these and they work really well and are well built. The actual mounting area is adjustable to various widths. I use mine for Canon Strobe Lights. I'm not familiar with Sony products, but if the flash has a typical shoe mount plate I would say this product would work.MICHAEL B : Yes it will work with any shoe mount flashSARA C : As far as I know any of the hot shoe mounts work w/ various flashes. I have a Canon camera, & was using an old Vivatar flash. Phil Steele has tutorials on using flash units instead of strobes for lighting which is why I bought this bracket from Adorama.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?RON C : I needed to affix a speed light to a light stand and I wanted to do it more firmly than I was able to with the rather flimsey speed light stands. This did the trick.

Works as advertised!

This product allowed me to continue using my pro flash bracket which I really like and not have to buy a new one for my Nikon 800 Flash.

Product Not as Pictured

This did not come with the screw attachment as pictured. I did however get it to work with something I already have on hand. It works as expected but if I did not have something to attach it with I would have had to return it. I expected to get everthing that was pictured. I would recommend this but with a warning that it may not come with the screw attachment.

Simply the best.

The first thing i do when i get a new bracket is throw the shoe mount that came with it away and put one of these on it!! I have never found a more sturdy and reliable flash holder ever! It is adjustable so it will hold anything -- a flash or an off shoe cord. I have drilled holes in brackets just to make this shoe mount fit!! The greatest feature about this mount is the stabilizer bolt that stops the thing from turning and twisting -- a real problem with cheap mounts and when you are shooting under pressure or deadline. Definitely pro quality & worth every bit of it's price!!

This product allowed me to continue using my pro flash bracket which I really like and not have to buy a new one for my Nikon 800 Flash.

Featuring a clamping-style lock, this mount securely holds the heaviest shoe units. It will not loosen up even under the most rigorous use, and a locating pin ensures that it won't twist on the bracket. The Bracket Shoe Mount attaches with the bracket's mounting knob. Machined, solid aluminum construction.
