Absolutely love this light. However, the locking mechanism is poorly designed. Getting it to catch and stay open is tricky. And then moving the softbox can cause it to pop shut unexpectedly. I have the same issue with the 48" version.

Great Quilty of light!  Like you have different options, you can shoot with just the silver or you can add up to two layers of diffusion and had a cover for your speed lights bulb so you do not get such a big hot spot in the middle

A small softbox fits small spaces

A cleaner, look and less contrasty than the silver lined one which makes this version more versatile. A very good buy for those who want the beauty dish  look but a little bit more muted shadows.

Great build, solid dish for my compact units and close-up portraiture. Great compliment to my 32" and 56" or whatever size my other modifiers are.

Glowing rec for the baby glow

I've used this softbox a few times now. I needed a new one because my previous softbox didn't have a Bowens Mount. Considering the price, it's difficult to find a better option in terms of accessories (it comes with a beauty dish and grid) and durability. My only minor concerns are that the beauty dish mounts in only one direction, and aligning the post during setup can be a bit tricky. Also, releasing it requires more force than expected. However, these are very minor issues, and overall, it offers great value.
