Are you tired of bounce flash? Hate the look of direct flash? Are the places you shoot in dark like a cave and the environmental light flat and dull?
Lighting is the key to making your images sing no matter what, like Bob Davis’s editor Bob Kotalik of the Chicago Sun-Times used to say "You can't publish an excuse."
During this evening’s event, Bob is going to share how to tackle all those challenging lighting situations from harsh daylight to dank and dark reception halls. While available light is the best light, sometimes the best available light is a speedlight.
And he will show you how he uses all the light available and how he adds a little sparkle of his own through the use of off-camera flash, a variety of light modifiers, and the use of continuous light sources such as flashlights to create some interesting dirty light.
Always a very popular speaker, events with Bob always sell out quickly, so don't miss this exciting opportunity—Come on this journey with Bob and become a seeker of light!
After more than 25 years in the business and numerous accolades, including 14 years as an award-winning photographer for the Chicago Sun-Times, projects for Time, the American Bar Association Journal, and Chicago Tribune Sunday Magazine, Bob Davis’s passion continues to carry him around the globe in pursuit of meaningful storytelling opportunities.
Bob believes that the power of photojournalism lies in its ability to tell a story by documenting moments in time and vividly reflecting them back to the viewer.
Now, a partner in his own endeavor, Bob & Dawn Davis Photography & Design, their client list reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of entertainment’s elite.
