Much more comfortable (and not clumsy) like my Sennheiser over-the-ear noise-reduction head gear. The sound is good but anxious to try on airliner soon. Not sure if the "sound-reduction" claimed is "electronic" or just claimed due to the snug in-ear fit.

These earphones are great. The only complaint I have is that they tend to fall out of my ears. The smallest of the interchangeable silicone in-ear pieces fits me the best and stay in my ears the best.

These earphones are a great buy for the money. They do not function as noice cancelling earphones, but they do block out some airplane sounds. They are a good alternative if you do not want to carry the big Bose noise cancelling headphones. These are a "no brainer" to pack & go. Great sound and very comfortable for a long flight.

I am impressed! I can understand lyrics I could never get before, it is truly amazing! I have nearly 6,000 songs on my Ipod and I am so jazzed about this sound, great value and great quality!

While I like these AL earphones enough to get a second set for my wife for travel and ear comfort, after trying them on several portable units I find the sound balance on the high side. With units that allow customizing EQ settings, they work well. The several ear fittings are great for customizing to one's ear shape and uses - eg reducing plane engine noice. Great value for the price.

Muddles the mid and high's (no matter what ear pieces or music). If you want only bass these are for you but if you want to hear all of your music save your money and buy something else. I had someone else try these and they came away with the same impression, what has happened to Altec? Sound reproduction at a great price was always their strong point, but these are some of the worst I have heard in a long time. I know
that the price is low but I have other ear buds that are around the same price point that are so much better.

Probably some of the worst sounding headphones I've ever bought. Worse sound quality than the buds that come with the ipod. Really disappointed. Would have returned them if they wouldn't have deducted half the cost of the item.

Mediocre bass and treble and decent midrange. Better than stock earphones that come with the iPods. Not good for acoustic music because there is too much missing. Fine for AM radio. Not worth anymore than $25 and there are much better earphones for that price.

These do cancel out noise when seated securely in the ear. Much better sound that way too. But I would not use this for workout. Even on a walk, the thud of my footsteps transfers through through too loudly and is a distraction. I have to pull them out slightly, turn up the volume, and then they are fine. I have a pair of Koss soft foam plugs that sound as good fully seated in my ear. I picture these as a better match for in-flight noise canceling.

These sound really good for the price. Isolation is quite good. Comes with 3 rubber sizes, but unfortunately, none fit my ears too well.

Only con would be it sounding a little muddy in the 500Hz area. But a little EQ will fix this.

These earphones are a GREAT value. not only are they inexpensive, but they have great sound. They sound very balanced, if they have 1 weakness it is the high stuff, but for the price, you will not find anything better. The cable is also cool, looks like clear plastic coated fabric, seems very durable. If this is your budget, get these earphones.

I didn't comment on the bass because people think so differently. Some people only care about it, but too much can ruin music. Style is also subjective, there are photos you can decide for yourself.

The product performed great during my work outs . Its ability to say in the ear was perfect for running, biking,or just watching the birds in the back yard. The light weight construction made it feel as though there was nothing there, while the sound made me feel as though I was at a live concert. One of the best buys I have made in a while.
