I tried to use this underwater with a Sony Cybershot W300 Camera and while I could get it inside, lock it and create the vacuum, I could not get the camera to work (I even extended the lens before sucking the air out). Insufficient room, camera would not stay on. As soon as the lens protruded, it hit the plastic, retracted and turned off. I gave it to my daughter who has a smaller camera whose lens does not stick out when turned on and it worked for her.
