I couldn't get my Kindle Book to turn on. I called product support and was given the chance to replace it. On a hunch I bought your battery and it fired right up. The price was great and I plan to buy another just in case the electronics in my Kindle Book should shorten the life span of the new battery.

After waiting for a year for "official" Kindle Reader 1 batteries, I ordered two Lenmar batteries from Adorama. They are identical to the original and work just as well in the Kindle as the original battery. It's a simple matter to change the battery. [...] I'm happy to have spares around the house and for traveling.

Amazon doesn't seem to warrant it's Kindle batteries and the replacement batteries are on back order. Kinda coincidental that this is happening with the announcement of the new Kindle 2. My original battery lasted 6 months and then it wouldn't hold a charge. [...] I have been using now for about 3 months and no problems so far. Adorama is always reliable and I have never had problems with purchasing from them.

This is a great replacement for the Amazon equivalent battery. It last longer than the kindle one, and so far after heavy usage seems to be holding a charge better as well. So far I'm very impressed, it was great being able to get it when the Amazon one was out of stock.
