Comments about OtterBox OtterBox 914 Clip Stand/ Holster, Defender Series Case for iPod Classic:
So far I love it. It is bulky, like most Otterbox products...but that is exactly what makes them so reliable.
It's a pain to constantly take the case off and put it back on if you want to listen to your iPod on a dock but the work pays off if you happen to drop the device. This case could withstand the apocalypse...even if it can't be submerged or run over with a car.
The film over the click-wheel also tends to take away from the wheels sensitivity so until you get the hang of it manipulating the menus can be irksome.
I just got the holster today so I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it but this is my initial thought...the belt clip/stand seems pretty rugged, the device fits snuggly and securely. The one thing I don't like is that the screen faces out...which makes sense for using the device while it's on your belt but undermines the protection of the screen a bit since the film covering both screen and wheel is nowhere indestructible; the screen facing out may also still necessitate the use of the devices "hold" feature.
Overall I'm pleased with the product, as I ALWAYS am with the ingenuity and imagination of the folks at Otterbox.
