Went to Utah to photograph all the great national parks. Didn't want to drag the laptop so needed/wanted a card reader to dump images (shoot in RAW so cards fill fast) Wolverine was easy to use and great to have while hiking. Bought it for the card reader only-have to try out all the other features it offers. Love it!!

The ESP is perfect for long trips when you need additional digital storage, but can't take (or don't want to be bothered with) a laptop. It's solid, compact, and reliable. The controls are intuitive (I was able to use them straight out of the box w/o first reading the manual.) The display is bright and plenty large. Also, the download speed is very good. When dumping a CF2 card from my Canon digital SLR, I was transferred 12.8 Mb images at just over 1 per second. My only disappointment is the battery life. With constant use (i.e. listening to music), it's only good for 8-9 hours (unlike and iPod, which lasts for days.) This means if you fly from L.A. to London, you'd better be looking for a recharging outlet once you deplane. Given that I bought it primarily to store thousands of photos, this shortcoming is easy to overlook.

Used the Wolverine mainly do download and store pictures when traveling and occasionally listen to music when on the plane. Very easy to use, portable and sturdy. I wise the screen resolution could be better.

I use this for photography. In a trip to Glacier National Park last week, I downloaded about 10 gb
of photographs per day. I bought the Wolverine because my Epson p3000 ( 40gb ) is no longer large enough to hold a weeks vacation worth of photos. The Wolverine is not as " smooth " as the Epson, but it gets the job done at a reasonable price. I would recommend it
