These binoculars are very sharp in 85% of the field of view. Not fully multicoated, but perfect phase coating. Flare control is excellent. Eyecups pull straight out, and dipoter is set by turning the eyecup that is quite stiff. Center focusing knob is smooth and rapid. Made in Japan. Case looks better than it works. It's too large and has a cheep plastic snap on the lid. Optics are better than average, but not worth the price Celestron's asking. I bought mine on clearance.
