Comments about Leupold Leupold 8 x 32 Wind River Katmai, Water Proof Roof Prism Binocular with 6.4 Degree Angle of View, Black, U.S.A.:

These units have great glass, BUT they have the poorest human interface. The eye cups rattle, the right one failed to stay up and they made viewing a fight to use them.

These 8X binos have great clarity, lens construction and feel. So why did Leupold try to save $ 1.50 or so by putting cheap plastic eye cups on a great product? You get better plastic out of a gum ball machine and for a quarter you also get the great plastic ruby ring besides the quality Leupold eye cups from a bubble gum machine.

Comments about Leupold Leupold 8 x 32 Wind River Katmai, Water Proof Roof Prism Binocular with 6.4 Degree Angle of View, Black, U.S.A.:

These are light and compact enough to tuck under outer wear and not be in the way. When fly fishing I can pack them in the back pocket of the fishing vest and not know they are with me (until I need to see that "dipper" up close). Best, is in calling in birds that will sit within feet of you and these glasses focus w/in 5 feet. Terrific product all around.
