Comments about Zeiss Zeiss 10 x 30 B MC T* Conquest, Water Proof Roof Prism Binocular with 5.5 Degree Angle of View, U.S.A.:
I use and collect binoculars. My main collecting focus is Zeiss Binoculars. The 10x30 Conquest compares very well with other much higher priced units from Zeiss and other manufacturers. As a general compact these are wonderful. The view is crisp as one would expect from something wearing the Zeiss name. They are well built, light, nitrogen filled and waterproof to 4m. I have compared these to many others in my collection from Zeiss, Leica, Steiner and others. They are quite impressive and certainly hold their own. Zeiss have managed to keep the cost lower by manufacturing these in Hungary. This in no way means a lesser product. Zeiss have been manufacturing optics in several locations for over a century. Many high end Leicas are made in Portugal! They are easy to use and the dioptre once set stays put. My two dislikes are that it does not come with objective caps and I don't like the case. I have replaced my case with one made for the 10x32 Victory FL. They are definately a value for money package and much better than many of the Japanese branded Chinese made binoculars in this price range.
