My husband bought the Garmin nuvi 880 for me when I crossed the half-century mark in life this year and it is high on my list of best birthday presents. It is very user-friendly, gives clear and accurate directions, serves as a phone & address directory and has taken away the stress & insecurity I often feel when making road trips to new destinations. The only feature or lack of that I find tedious is not being able to get back to the menu or map page after editing an address. One has to scroll back from screen to screen. Otherwise, this is a perfect navigator for people like me, who have a poor sense of directions and are perpetual novices in using electronics and gadgets.

User Voice commands can be useful, but no direct access without working your way through several levels, but nonetheless, allows you to keep your hands on the wheel and concentrate on driving. Garmin voice prompts are clear and descriptive.
