These binoculars are very sharp in 85% of the field of view. Not fully multi-coated, but perfect phase coated. There is a small amount of flare detected. Focusing knob should have been fully rubber coated, my fingers slip on the metal spots. 8.5X magnifaction is good for long hand hold observing. Also it's light for a binocular this large, and has a nice solid feel. I'm impressed with these made in Germany binoculars It's good stuff.
