Comments about Nikon Nikon 8 - 24 x 25 EagleView Zoom, Weather Resistant Porro Prism Binocular with 4.6 Degree Angle of View at 8x, Silver, U.S.A.:
Great idea with the zoom but poor optics compared to others with fixed power. With all the great reviews it makes me wonder if any of these people have never tried anything else to compare. Just looking through them once was enough to reject them, too many internal reflections. Don't buy them until you have tried them first and compared.

I love outdoors specifically camping with my family at Yosemite National Park. There's a lot to see (birds, deer, view of the mountains etc) and this Eagleview zoom by Nikon is the best I've ever own in a binocular, easy to focus and the zoom is superb even at higher magnification. It took me about a month researching what's the best binocular for my purpose. I'm glad I decided to get this one, not sorry at all. With a 25 year warranty, what else can you ask for?

I decided to buy these binosulars to watch the First Ashes Cricket Test between Australia and England, at "The Gabba" oval in Brisbane (November 2006). I was able to follow every ball bowled with ease! Zooming in on the action greatly increased my enjoyment of the match. I'm looking forward to attending my next sporting event - with my Nikon Eagleviews!!
