We have good, heavy binoculars for birding but wanted a small light pair to take along on trips. These are perfect. They are light, produce a surprisingly good image even in backlit situations and they fit in a pocket. The little eyepieces fold back for use with glases and I'm not sure how long the rubber eyepieces will tolerate that position, but while they hold up, they are very good. For the price, you can't argue.
