We were looking a secure bedside container for our handguns that we could quickly access in a semi-awake condition. I have used Barska optics in the past and was surprised to discover they made this unit.
It works perfectly for our purposes. There are two hints I would provide to purchasers.
1. When you get it, there are NO instructions on the outside of the box and nothing telling you want to do. The unit is designed to open to any fingerprint until the first fingerprint is loaded. There is button on the side of the bio-reader. Depress it and scan. The lock will release and everything is inside.
2. The reader is sensative to placement, so scan the same finger with a few different placements/ It will greatly improve the likelihood that it will open the first time every time.

Ordered this safe as a Christmas gift for my husband to store handguns safely away from our grandchildren. He was very pleased with the easy set up and easy open. He couldn't believe I found such a great deal on this safe.
