Steaks and more streaks

Comments about Zeiss Zeiss Lens Cleaner, 3 oz Spray, Ammonia Free, Safe for Multi-Coated Lenses.:

I too had streaking problems with this product. I almost think it contains oil like some isopropyl alcohol products intended for rubbing and massaging. Even using it sparingly and using a dry PecPad (never a good idea) to finish the wiping does not remove all streaks. I found high quality well-washed flannel more absorbent and to work best. better solution is to use Eclipse lens and sensor cleaner.

Comments about Zeiss Zeiss Lens Cleaner, 3 oz Spray, Ammonia Free, Safe for Multi-Coated Lenses.:

This product will only leave streaks if you don't use a clean micro fibre cloth. If you use one of the silky type cloths they will absorb your finger oil and smear the filter. Get one of those thick and fluffy micro fibre cloths (check [...]) and use a fresh part each time. Throw it in the washer every now and then.

5 of us spent a week on the California coast and I was the only one with this product. It removed all the sea spray and salt from my filters. The other 4 guys has various cleaners but this one was the only one to work. Now my bottle is empty ;-(

An excellent product. We are all putting in a large order after they saw the results.

I have used this product for over a year now (don't want to spend money on another until this runs out) and it dies indeed leave streaks. It often takes much rubbing with lens paper to get the lens clear of them.

Leaves streaks

Cons:
Not Functional
Bottom Line:

Comments about Zeiss Zeiss Lens Cleaner, 3 oz Spray, Ammonia Free, Safe for Multi-Coated Lenses.:

I tried this liquid with two different multicoated filters and it left streaks and water spots on both of them. It's worse than 70% isopropyl alcohol. I would not use this for anything. Very disappointing for a product from Zeiss.

My wife took My Sony R1 to the Galapagos Islands and somewhere along the way, The bottle opened and evaporated..When she returned, I replaced it with KodaK stuff since the Zeiss product was out of stock. I WILL NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN! This cleans beautifuuly and excess cleaner evaporates nicely leaving Zero residue...VERY NICE
