Comments about Celestron Celestron GPS Module - CN16 for Nexstar i Series Computerized Telescopes:

Purchased for the new line of SE Nexstar scope based on the Celestron marketing that implies it can be used with the scopes to ease proper locating... What they don't tell you however is that it can not mount to scopes other than the 8i and 5i (for which it is designed to mount directly onto the tube)... With ALL other scopes the only other options are to 1) clip it to the leg of the tripod (if it fits 1 of 2 sizes available) or 2) Let it dangle... Neither were good enough for me because my tripod (6 SE) was too small for the add on bracket and I am certainly not going to just let it dangle... In the end I sent it back and will rely now on my cell phone for my sat location needs...
