Comments about Celestron Celestron 5mW Green Laser with Two Telescope Mounting Brackets:
In the process of returning - green laser is visible for about such a sort distance that it was not usable. Maybe not dark enough out or just doesn't work well. Going to try a different model.

I have a laser and mounting bracket from another company and am very satisfied with it despite the price. I wanted to purchase another laser for my son's telescope but did not want to spend too much money for it. The Celestron 5mW Green Laser with two telescope mounting brackets by Celestron seemed to be an excellent buy. The specs seemed to be the same as the first one I own. Unfortunately I was wrong. When I turned it on it did not work. I assumed the batteries were old. I replaced them with brand new ones. The laser remained bright for approximately two minutes and began to dim. In less than five minutes there was no beam at all. I bought another set of batteries and got the same result. As tempting as it may look, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.
