The illuminator quit working hours after using it. Replaced the batteries and nothing!! Had to turn around and buy the celestron eyepiece and return the meade.

Bought for doing drift alignment, but would be better for measuring sizes and splits of stars. Nice display; quality eyepiece. Works pretty well for drift alignment, but can be easily nudged "on" by accident when storing, meaning a trip to the drugsrore for more watch batteries!!
