Comments about Orion Orion 8" Dovetail Mounting Plate:

I bought this dovetail bar to mount a 6" imaging reflector to my mount. It fit nicely and locked in tight to my vixen style mounting saddle. There seems to be no flex in between my rings and the dovetail which is great when I'm imaging.
The only thing I'm not to crazy about is the fact that the heads of the bolts that attach the dovetail to the rings stick out and make it so I can't slide the dovetail to far back or forward on the saddle to balance the scope in dec. This is a non issue for me but can be a problem for some folks with setups were the center of gravity is close to the front or rear of the scope.
For my rig the dovetail does the job nicely and if I had to I would make the purchase again.
