Mounted on my C11. I no longer use the 9x50 finder that came with the scope. Before permanently mounting it, I mounted it to the OTA with several strips of blue painters tape and took it out for an evening to make sure it wasn't too far/close for my eyes and that I wouldn't make contact with it accidentally. Holds its alignment well between sessions.

The Telrad Finder Sight is so easy to use and makes sighting in on celestial objects quick and easy. I have yet to find any detracters.
It's more than worth the price.

It is one more thing that you have sticking out of your telescope and have to take care of. What it does is fill one huge gap in the process of finding your target and aiming your telescope. Most finders are too powerful and seldom have a wide enough field of view. The reticle (target light) gives you measurement of the area you are seeing. Probably overkill for any scope smaller than 6 inches

After twenty years (I bought it in 1989) the potentiometer finally went, but it should be a cheap fix and I can get by with bypassing it for now.

It's a really great finder, allowing you to see your field of view within the context of the sky as opposed to through a small scope. I wouldn't want to use anything else and will certainly replace mine if it ever does go for good.

This finder is the one I like, since I can adjust the brightness. I have an extra mounting plate, so it becomes more flexible. It has been a good choice for me.

It took a while for the sky to be clear after dark for me to try it out on my 10" Dobsonian. Once I got it aligned, it proved much easier to use for rough sighting than my finderscope. I also installed the Pulser Unit which makes it easier to use with dimmer objects. The plastic case seems flimsy at first, but upon use isn't too bad (it helps keep the weight down). I would keep it in the box when not in use. I look forward to more clear moonless nights to do some sky-hopping!

Easy installation. Variable brightness works well for dim or bright objects. Stays aligned better than finder scopes.

Mounted easily, zeroing was fast and easy. Finds any object quickly and accurately. If you can, also get the antifogging cover and other accessories to keep from fogging. I plan on using a small fan to keep it from fogging. The sight is perfect for my 13" Dob.
