I was on a location shoot carrying my tripod I lost my footing and my tripod nicked the LCD screen, the screen protector shatter instead of my LCD. Great protection. . . It works.

Carefully removed from packaging - instructions state to clean the sides of the glass before install- removed the protective covering from the back side which exposes the adhesive. There is no way to clean the back side or the surface that is against the camera window without damaging the adhesive. Mounted the Giotto and discovered there was a oily film on the backside. Instructions state to use a hair dryer to remove- when carefully trying to remove with a thin plastic spatula the Giotto cracked and shattered. Junk - the protectective sheet on the back evidently leaves a streaked like film and no practical way to remove. Do Not purchase this item.
