Both side panels need to be folded simultaneously in order to close the hood. Spring loaded side panels do not last long with continuous use; one of the springs will break & the spring action is lost. One then has to physically detach the broken side panel for the hood to function. Soon after the other spring will malfunction & the hood needs to be replaced. The screen easily scratches.
