I haven't gotten to use this product much, but when I have, I have wondered how I did without it. You can clearly see your pictures much better in bright daylight on the LCD screen where you couldn't before. It's another gadget for the camera bag, but I definitely am glad I purchased it and would buy it again.

I got the Hoodman loupe based on endorsements from Scott Kelby and others. It lives up to the billing. My only complaint is that the latch on the lanyard is cheap. I couldn't get it to latch at first. I eventually got it to latch, but I'm not sure I trust it. I'm not sure I can trust the latch which basically defeats the purpose of having a lanyard in the first place.

I have no problem whenever i'm doing a landscape, macro or just plain street photography. I don't need and eyeglass or run into shade just to see the pictures i took. I will definitely recommend to all my photo buddies.

I thought about picking one of these up for some time. I shoot out-of-doors a lot and I like to check exposure carefully. In bright sunlight this is difficult. I hesitated to buy the tool becouse of its price. I had an airshow that was coming up and I thought I would give it a try.

It is now part of my kit. It stays with the camera. Like all good gear...the price is forgotten when the usefulness is apparent.

What an awesome tool. Now I don't have to wait until I get back to the office to view my shots. If you do any shooting outside during the day, you must have this tool. Being I do a lot of landscape photography, this tool is so important to help me grade my work in the field. I don't know how I made it this long without it.

Used to duck for shade to see the shot. Now I place the Hoodman over the screen and continue, and I see much more detail than I even saw before, even in shade.

I can finally read the picture info on the back of my camera.(even on a sunny day) With the Hoodman I can make better adjustments to get the best possible picture.That's much better than guessing and hoping for the right settings.

I probably could have gotten by without owning one of of these. Just had to walk to the shade to view LCD--now (at first couldn't get to it fast enough before pic went away). Now, set viewing time to 10 sec (but, that uses battery faster). I can see pic I took in the same location of my subject. Little hard to manipulate the buttons and hold the loupe to the LCD if want to zoom in to see if pic is really clear. Found I don't really need it indoors. However, so far it seems to be a nice to have, just have to use it more--sometimes I forget to take it with me when I rush outside to get a quick shot at a bee/bird/etc.

Terrific little gadget for those super bright sunny days when you can't see your LCD and want to check out an image capture. Well worth the price even though the price seems high.

Works as designed - very good for reviewing pictures via the LCD. Especially when using the Zoom feature to look for sharpness and focus, as well as exposure.

Have some difficulty in that the rubber "bellows" is larger than my LCD and I find it either pushes buttons itself, or prevents me from easily getting to the buttons. If I orient it in "portrait", it seems to work a lot better.

this is a great way to work. It gives a clear view of the lcd even in bright light. It is easy to judge critical sharpness and to get an idea of how the exposure is going to affect the final image.
The focus on the unit is variable for different eyesights.
I teach an outdoor photo class and find it invaluable to help students 'see' what is happening.
I also use it in the field for bird photography and can not imagine working without it.
I would have to say that the money has been well spent.

I recently spent several days photographing in bright light outdoors, and the LCD screen was almost impossible to see without my screen loupe. The thing is way over-priced (just as most camera accessories are), but I'm very happy that I've got one.

When outside in bright light or sunlight, it's nearly impossible to see your LCD screen. This product is like finding a shade tree in the desert, only better! So easy to use and stores in your camera bag when not in use and it can hang around your neck when in use so you don't set it down and walk off without it. Thanks Hoodman for a very useful product!

I have a Nikon D300,it has a very good LCD.That said the Hoodman makes it much easier to see in bright lite.Just put it around your neck and go.

Once you own one you will never be without it. It is "the answer" for making critical judgement of exposure, focus and composition indoors or out. I find nothing negative about the product. The Diopter works as advertised, the Carrying Case is excellent, and the Neck Strap is quality.

Just the thing to view your LCD screen when the sun is out. Hard to see the Histogram without this gadget. Well worth it.

This little hood does wonders. Pricey, yes. Necessary? If you want to check anything about your photos before packing up, you bet. Used on the brightest days, it completely cuts out the light and allows you to focus on the LCD. Put it in the bag.

Most useful on sunny days but good to check focus at anytime. My strap came off the first day I used it but I fixed it easily.

Great to check focus accuracy in the field. Pitty it's a little big and bulky but to do the job well it has to be. Diopter/focus adjustment works great. Comes with a soft zip pouch.

I was about to give up my contacts and go back to glasses because I couldn't focus on the preview screen on my Olympus 510 to see if the image was in focus or cropped right. This device not only enables me to focus on the image but also blocks bright light so I can see the whole image, even the shadow detail.

I really like this tool, especially in bright light. My camera has a 3" screen:Nikon D90. Magnification adjusts as needed for those of us with glasses. It has a lanyard to keep it attached to me or me to it.

For viewing the LCD on a bright sunny day nothing beats this hoodman product. It is easy to adjust and hangs easily round my neck on the lanyard.
