Olympus has a "typo" on their website and instructions. CANNOT be used as a free standing remote. Does not allow you to take a picture. Can only be used when camera is docked on their HD or DVD burner in "Dock N Done" mode. Sadly, it took three calls to Olympus tech support to figure this out. The techies at Olympus are sadly lacking in expertise in a lot of areas.
