really improves the view on my sony a580 cannot push all the way down or it blocks the eyepiece sensor, but that is not a problem. really works good if you wear glasses !!!

Got it from Adorama for my Kx. The only good thing I can say about it is that it keeps my face further from the LCD. Looking through it, one must strain to see the 4 corners of the screen. The magnification is very mild. Not worth the money. It is well made but does not function as advertised.

Just purchased my third of these to replace one I sold to a friend along with a K100d. The 1.19x magnification provides a subtle yet welcome enlargement of the viewfinder, helping with manual focus and macro work. I leave mine on full time as it has a comfortable soft rubber covering and gives the added benefit of providing more room between my face and the LCD screen.
The only negative is that you have to get right up to the eyecup to view all four corners of the image and the info at the bottom simultaneously. I don't take issue with it, but I do not wear glasses either.

cuts off the edges of the viewfinder. Doesn't magnify as much as you would think. would not reccomend.

Well...
It looks nice on the camera.
The soft rubber cup is nice.
It is easier to adjust the diopter.
Makes it a tad harder to read the data bar.
Calling this a magnifier is a stretch. I can see no benefit as far as focusing goes and that's what I wanted it for.

For anyone that wears glasses and the diopter is at it's max then this magnifying eyepiece is the answer. With it I can actually see the digital readout at the bottom of the eyepiece.
This will remain on my K200D permanently.

After reading the reviews, I bought this for my OLY E510, knowing I would have to modify it. It was more than I thought to make it fit, but I like it much better than the Hard Rubber one OLY puts out!!!

I bought this item to make manual focus easier on the K20D, but I do not notice much difference with this versus the original eyecup for that purpose. However, this eyecup is better made and it does help keep your nose out of the view finder.

This attachment will give you a better view of your focusing screen, especially if you wear glasses. The more that you can see, the easier it is to compose your images. This accessory does give a slight bit of vignetting of the viewfinder, but not enough to be annoying for me. I find it helps me make a more accurate diopter adjustment of the viewfinder. I love it.

The slight (1.2x) magnification enlarges the viewfield just enough to facilitate closeup focusing. Replacing the factory eyecup provides easier access to diopter slider, so you can focus either with or without glasses. As glasses move your eye farther from the eyecup, the screen occupies the entire view, requiring that you adjust your view a bit lower (as you'd expect of a magnifier) to also see the information bar.

The eye piece is a great addition to the camera. It does its job and magnifies the field of view. I also like the how the eye piece is situated farther away from the camera, this way my face is not up against the view screen. The only complaint is that this magnifier does cut off some of the corners in the view finder screen. This becomes a problem when trying to see the information bar.
