I won't charge a $60.00 battery in a $10.00 charger, especially the new batteries with the inteeligent chip!

Fine if you don't leave the States but if you travel a lot the removable cord of older models or replaceable plug pins, like some mobile phones, would be better.

Same exact charger that came in the box with my 5D cameras. I bought a couple of these so that I could charge multiple batteries at once to save time, and always keep one as a spare in my bag just in case I need to charge-up while on location. Dependability and reliability you would expect from Canon!

Just purchased a Canon 5D Mark II. Upgrade from the 50D. Means different batteries and charger. You don't want to run out of power. So I have two chargers to charge the batteries when needed. You can tract the charging process. It takes a little while to get a full charge, so you have to be a good manager and plan ahead.

This is (along with most Canon chargers) a very convenient accessory. The one thing that I like the most is there is NO cord to plug in that takes space in your camera bag. Canon did the smartest thing by having a flip out plug - a 1 piece accessory instead of 2 like all the others!
