I have generally had bad luck with third party replacement batteries and find it worth the extra few bucks to get an original. It could be a few bucks cheaper since the camera is barely worth more than the battery (6 year old elph sd400), but if it isn't broken, don't fix it). Still a great point and shoot, and a fresh battery breathes some life back into it.

This is just like the original that came with my camera. Good to have a back up battery. I've found that generic batteries are sometimes not the same as the ones that are sold with the cameras. No problem with this one!
