ONE OF THE BEST PIECES OF ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT I'VE PARCHASED. QUALITY UNIT AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AFTER USING IT FOR AT LEAST 4 YEARS NOW..BY THE WAY, THE VERTICAL SHUTTER BUTTON WORKS JUST FINE AND DOES NOT REQUIRE A WIRE.I WAS SORRY TO HEAR HOODMAN HAS DISCONTINUED THE UNIT.BUT I'LL BE PURCHASING OTHER HOODMAN PRODUCTS FROM NOW ON !

Works great with my d70s. I like the verical feel on the camera and the extra battery life. The only draw back is that you have to connect wire to the IR and switch to remote to use button on the veritcal grip.
