This battery damaged my 8G Extreme 4 CF card and played havoc with the display of my camera. This only happened with this battery and not with a regular Canon battery. My CF card was no longer accessible and over 300 pictures were gone. The card was analyzed by Sandisk and replaced.
Do not try to save monies by buying this questionable product - I certainly won't again.

Great batteries: reliable, travel well, long-lasting. I just used these on my travels in France and they lasted far longer (in my Canon 40D) than my Canon batteries. I highly recommend these batteries!

These batteries seem to hold a charge longer than my Canon batteries. No quantitative evaluation just a casual observation.

I made the mistake of thinking all Canon DSLRs used the same batteries - they don't. I bought two of these. I think I'll just hold onto them until I have a camera they work in though (or give them to somebody who has the right camera), because they seem fine (and I know people who have had a lot of luck with these, and they're dirt cheap - I got mine on sale for [$]each).

For a generic brand, the quality is easily equal to the name brand. The mha rating was slightly lower, but I got four for less than I would have paid for one name brand. This way I always have two for the camera and two as backup on hand. This was a great buy.

I number all of my batteries and can tell when a particular battery begins to loose its capacity to hold a charge. I have found that these batteries are as good as or better than the batteries I get from the manufacturer of the camera

I have not found any disappointment for the moment.I got this battery by error. Adorama sent it instead of Targus branded I ordered and they readily accepted the return. I was wary of getting a non-Canon battery because I had a bad experience with an aftermarket battery for my Nikon (charge lasted about 35 minutes).

This batter has been astounding, however. It fit perfectly, it charged quickly, and it lasted as long as my Canon battery.

I highly recommend it as a second battery.

I use 2 of these in my BG-ED4 and they are good for about 5 hours of normal to heavy use. I use both IS and AF (and periodically the AF assist light). I am not sure if it because they are a different 'ma' or something else but the camera has trouble seeing when they start losing charge. It lets know know just before they quit but the meter goes from full to empty in an instant.

EXCELLENT replacement for the CANON BP51x series batteries. In addition they feature a HIGHER Ah rating than the OEM unit. Have used these successfully on EVERY CANON body since my first 10D. Have 8 LENMARs, and so far NONE have failed. They've survived the 10D, 20D, two 30D, 40D & 5D bodies. Please note that the units I have are the LENMAR LIC511, and the label claims they're 1600mAh capable, NOT 1250 mAh, as the description above suggests.

I bought one years ago and keep buying them again and again, they have out lasted the original canon ones that I had with the camera by far.
I shoot virtual tours with my camera and shoot on a daily basis 100's of stills, very reliable I can shoot all day on one battery, great price and great quality

This is a well-made battery. I have a couple of these, and they are indistinguishable from the name-brand equivalent -- except for the fact that they cost less than half.

Lenmar is a reputable brand that has been in business for many years. They got very serious about product quality when I was leaving the photo industry about 15 years ago. I am glad to see that they've stuck to it.
