Outstanding battery and long lasting is the hallmark of this battery. Yes, it is kinda pricy but if you can affort the type of camera that this battery goes into, you can affort the battery and a few spares. I travel often where they many times is no power to recharge anything and having a few of these batteries along, I have never been caught without having enough juice for the Nikon D3s I carry. One potential weak link is the battery cover that holds the battery in. If that breaks, you dead in the water no matter how many spare batteries you have! I always carry a spare battery cover. It is cheap insurance and they are not expensive but try and find one in Bulowaylo, Zimbabwe! The EnEl4a battery also works in my F-6 camera with a different battery holder. That is nice as I only have to have one type of battery and yes, I still shoot film too! Try to capture that lighting strike with most digital cameras!

This is in my Nikon D700 battery pack. These days I am doing lots of handheld bracketed shots for HDR photographs. This battery allows for the fastest burst speed possible. The other big plus is that it lasts for a long time without recharging.

I haven't charged this battery for over three weeks, hundreds of shots and lots of menu and photo viewing and still only down a quarter charge. Very impressive.

This thing is BIG! I had no idea how big it was before I bought it. I figured it was the same size as the EN-EL3e, but its so much larger. Not that it matters; it fits in the MB-D10 replacement that I have on my D700.
On the downside, it adds some heft to my camera set up. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

Purchased as a backup battery. This model just lasts and lasts. It lasts so long that it almost diminishes the need for a backup, but get one nonetheless.

My MB-D10 had issues maintaining battery priority and thus 8 FPS with both my D300 and D700 when using 8 AA batteries. After switching to the EN-EL4a I get reliable 8 FPS.

I routinely get over 5,000 shots per charge out of this battery pack with my D300. I absolutely cannot say enough how much this battery is better than using the double A alternative. The only drawback for me was the cost of the battery charger since I don't own a D3 or D2XS. But, besides that, it's awesome.

I was tired of using AA's in the MB-10 on my D300 and decided to take the plunge and purchased the EN-EL4a. It is a *GREAT* investment. Not only do I have an accurate reading of the battery status (charge %) but it lasts A LONG TIME. With heavy ( really heavy) use of the LCD and about 800 pictures at full 12 bit res. - it's down to 55% capacity. I'm really impressed with the battery and the fully satisfied with the investment.
If you're toying with the idea of buying this for your MB-10 and have the funds to do so - I would highly suggest that you purchase it. You will not be sorry.

Works first time every time. Unlike the aftermarket batteries that I have tried in the past that wouldn't work at all. I will only buy NIKON batteries from now on. Holds a charge very well allowing one to shoot and not worry about a battery compatability problem or how long the charge will last. Works perfectly in the D3,D2Xs,D2Hs,D2X,D2H and the D300w/MB-D10. Keeps your Nikon warranty in effect. Way to go NIKON! A great product.
