Comments about Power2000 Power2000 BLS-1 Replacement Rechargeable Battery 7.2v 1400mAh for Select Olympus Digital Cameras:
A lot of posts questioning if a BLS-1 or a generic equivalent will function in the E-PL2 because the BLS-5 supplied with the camera is 4 contacts and the BLS-1 is 3 contacts.
Charged up quickly, into the E-PL2 and everything functions normally. No problems. No complaints. It's a battery, it's very inexpensive compared to the Olympus original, and it works fine, charges fine with full function on the Olympus charger that came with the E-PL2.
No negatives thus far.

This battery works better and is more reliable than the more expensive Olympus batteries.

as a Hiker and Climber on extended trips I need power that will last and remain strong ...and these 1900 mAH batteries do the trick
they hold the charge for extended periods and are very reliable
