I bought this battery as a back-up for my canon 5d while shooting weddings and portraits. It only holds a charge for about 30-45 minutes which is obviously not convenient. It holds about enough charge for my Canon battery to charge about halfway. Going back to Canon brand.

I bought four of these batteries when I first purchased my used Canon 5D Mark I. Every single one of them has failed prematurely, some within a month or two, others within two years. None has received more than sporadic use, so this is extremely disappointing. [...]I don't have time to mess around with the premature failures any more. After this experience, I will probably pay the extra money and buy the Canon batteries.

I have used these batteries in my 10D, 30D and both of my 50D's - all with battery grips. I get very high shot counts and the entire life is excellent. My oldest set was puchased in 2005 and they are only now showing their age. In general, the cameras have given up before the batteries!

Battery work good when new. After a couples of months(less than 6 months), will not hold charge. Just junk. Targus battery much better. Brought it before Power2000 and still working.
